Panasonic have revealed a new waterproof camcorder, snappily titled the er…SDR-SW21 (surely these guys could hire somebody to think up some snazzy names for these things? :-p ).
Featuring MPEG2 recording, which is akin to DVD quality, the SDR-SW21, or SuperDuper21, as it should be called is waterproof up to 2 metres, shockproof and dustproof, making it one of the most rugged camcorders out there.
(I’m hoping that dustproof means ‘sand’ also as I’ve lost count of the number of gadgets that I’ve damaged thanks to that problem.)
The SDR-SW21 also tips its hat to the web generation, and allows you to record movies in a YouTube compatible format, and comes with special software to make uploading your movies directly to YouTube a ‘breeze’.
